Engineer Pass May 31, 2009
The morning started
out pleasant but as we stopped at the trailhead it started to rain a little.
Today's trip included Perry & Leila, Terry & Stephanie, Steve and kids,
Randy & Maryann and kids, and Lee Bacon.
By the time we reached timberline, it was
snowing pretty hard but it wasn't sticking, and up on top of the pass it was
really foggy and wet. We stopped near the top and had a lunch break. The
weather cooperated as it stopped snowing long enough for us to eat and take
some pictures.
We rolled on into Animas Forks and got
out and prowled around the houses. Then we headed on into Silverton for a
nice dinner at Handlebars Restaurant.
