Some Wild Bunchers
decided to head toward Schofield Pass. The trail connects the towns of
Marble and Crested Butte. A couple attractions are the Devil's
Punchbowl and the Crystal River powerhouse.
Back in 1970 this trail was the
scene of the worst off road accident in Colorado history. Nine tourists
were killed when their vehicle slipped off the shelf road in the Devil's
Punchbowl.
In attendance for this cool trail were Jeremy and
Michelle Townsend, Steve, Amy, and Bryce Bush, Daryl, Viki, and Joshua Cox,
Perry and Leila Reed, Weylin Johnson and his girlfriend. I would like
to apologize to Weylin's girlfriend now. Perry could not remember your
name. We will make it up to you in Moab.
